Eastbound U.S. Highway 65 in Albert Lea is reopening Friday morning, though westbound remains closed because of water on the road, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Westbound Highway 65 is closed from Garfield Avenue to South Broadway. This stretch of Highway 65, also known as Main Street, in Albert Lea could remain flooded for days. The city of Albert Lea continues to monitor.

Motorists should follow the detour until the all clear is announced.
