Nancy attended a one-room school, then St. James Lutheran School. She graduated from Shawano Senior High School. It was in high school that she met her soulmate, Ronald Timm. They were married Dec. 17, 1966, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. They made Albert Lea their home in 1967.

Nancy’s first priority was making a loving home for her family. She also worked for a short time at Aid Association for Lutherans in Appleton, Wisconsin, typed for a court reporter in Albert Lea and was a lunch lady at Hawthorne Elementary School. She found a job she loved and worked for District No. 241 as a secretary — first at Brookside School and later at Southwest Middle School. She retired in 2010 after 20 years with the district.

Nancy was strong in her faith and a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she had been active in Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, the ladies society and Ruth circle.

In addition to the joy she got from spending time with her grandchildren, Nancy also enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, gardening and canning.

Nancy will be greatly missed by her husband, Ron; children Steven (Julie )Timm of Cedar Falls, Iowa, John (Toni) Timm of Albert Lea and Julie Timm of Forest Lake; grandchildren Joshua, Hannah Aleah and Sarah Timm, and Jake and Shelby Mindrup; sisters Shirley (Don) Bowe of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Jean (Dan) Schott of Shawano; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tom Stachura of Pulaski, Wisconsin, Jerry and Terrie Timm of Shawano and Betty and Dave Laatsch of Tigerton, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dorothy Haut; father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Dorothy Timm; and sister, Debra Stachura.

Nancy had a courageous, loving spirit and was always willing to give of herself for others.

Blessed be her memory.
