Permit to carry class scheduled

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office will host a “Permit to Carry: Before, During and After a Critical Incident” class from 9 a.m. until about noon March 23. The class will cover a person’s responsibilities while carrying a firearm with a permit to carry, according to a press release.
The class will also cover topics including what to expect when law enforcement arrives on a critical incident scene. It is an informational class and anyone can attend. The class is not a BCA-approved firearms class for obtaining a permit to carry.
