Albert Lea Retired Educators will meet at noon Thursday at the Albert Lea American Legion for lunch. Suzie Peterson, executive director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, will talk about plans for the 75th Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener in May. According to a press release, she will discuss the detailed process of being chosen for the honor, which is a first for Albert Lea. She will also talk about the many activities associated with the event.

During the meeting, money will be collected for Minnesota Food Share Month, which will be divided between the Salvation Army Food Pantry and the Ecumenical Food Shelf.
