Albert Lea High School to present last vocal concert of the year

The Albert Lea High School vocal music department encourages everyone to come to its annual spring concert Monday, according to a press release. There will be two different concerts in the high school auditorium.
The concert will celebrate the accomplishments of the students from this past year. At 6:30 p.m. the concert will feature the Celebr8 Choir and the Tiger mixed choir ensembles of eighth and ninth graders. At 8 p.m., the varsity choir, concert choir and chorale will perform. The choirs are conducted by Diane Heaney and Nathan Lange.
The senior choir members will also be honored at the last concert. They are Katie Funk, Mallory Dempewolf, Lexus Saltou, Rowan Kraft, Gigi Otten, Madeline Schei, Courtney Harmdierks, Aline Teran, Charley Fleek, Alexis Rothmeier, Kallie Holl, Billie Maxson, Brooke Talamantes, Khira Hacker, Lexy Williams, Julissa Gilbertson, Leecie Mucciacciaro, Himeka Ando, Matt Edwards, Michael Blong, Brock Hammer, Dane Brownlow, Isaac Moyer, Cristian Garcia, Jeorge Brinda, Klo Htoo, Ausland Barker and Jacob Moffitt.
Alumni choir members will be invited to join this years’ concert choir in singing “Pilgrim’s Hymn” at the 8 p.m. concert.
This year, students from the choirs at ALHS have participated in choral festivals, chorale, caroliers, show choir, solo and ensemble contests, Big Nine Music Festival, All-State, trips to Minneapolis and San Antonio, Texas, the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, the Minnesota Opera, and performed at community events, the release states.
Admission to the concert is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Music concert passes are also valid for the concert. Tickets are available at the door and doors will open at 6 p.m. One ticket will gain admittance to both concerts.
