Project: Food for Backpacks
Report: Grace Lutheran Church started the program a year ago at Hawthorne Elementary School. This year the program has grown from supporting 35 students at one elementary school to supporting 329 food insecure students in all four elementary schools and the middle school in Albert Lea. Seven other congregations have since joined Grace Lutheran Church in its efforts.
