The public is invited to participate in a community forum designed to help better determine the long-term health needs of Freeborn County residents.
The forum, which is being sponsored by the Freeborn County Public Health Statewide Health Improvement Partnership and Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mayo Clinic HealthReah Campus, 1705 SE Broadway Ave.
This is the first meeting of the two-part forum. The second part will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the same location. Lunch will be provided at both forums.
“These fo rums are being held to help identify and develop plans of action to address the health care needs and services of our communities,” Lana Howe, SHIP coordinator, said. “We encourage anyone with an interest in health, health systems or the future of county residents to attend and offer their insight and ideas.”
Freeborn County Public Health, SHIP and Mayo Clinic Health System recently conducted a community health needs survey and a number of community focus groups and interviews. The findings from these surveys and interviews will be shared at the forum and discussed as part of the process to determine the health needs of Freeborn County.
Individuals interested in attending the forum should RSVP at Eventbrite under Freeborn County Public Health Forum or contact freeborncountypublichealth@gmail.com.
