Break-ins, thefts reported

A break-in was reported at 6:36 p.m. Friday at 249 Euclid St. in Alden.

A wallet was reported stolen out of a car at 11:50 a.m. Friday at 2225 Milo Ave. The theft reportedly took place sometime overnight Thursday or Friday morning.

A 12-inch dual bevel miter chop power saw was reported taken at noon Friday from 114 The Fairway.

A chair was reported stolen at 4:59 p.m. Friday from 230 S. Pearl St.

An $8 pair of sandals was reported taken at 5:52 p.m. Friday from Dollar General, 201 W. Main St.

Two vehicles were reported ransacked at 4:04 a.m. Saturday at 1020 Abbott St.

A car was reported broken into at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 202 S. Third Ave. Photography equipment was reported stolen out of the car.

A car was reported broken into at 7:36 a.m. Saturday at 906 E. Ninth St. A pair of wireless headphones were stolen.

A car was reported broken into at 10:44 a.m. Saturday at 820 Minnie Maddern St. A pack of cigarettes and some loose change were reported missing.

Vehicles were reported rummaged through at 12:02 p.m. Saturday at 1201 1/2 Frank Hall Drive. Nothing was missing.

A car was reported rummaged through at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 111 N. Fifth Ave.

A car was reported rummaged through at 8:54 a.m. Sunday at 702 Bridge Ave. The incident reportedly took place sometime overnight Saturday or Sunday morning. Nothing was missing.

A car was reported rummaged through at 11:42 a.m. Sunday at 1401 Margaretha Ave. No damage was reported and nothing was missing.

A purse was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 2:22 p.m. Sunday at 1208 Garfield Ave. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked.

A vehicle was reported rummaged through at 3:11 p.m. Sunday at 517 Johnson St. Nothing was missing, and no damage was reported.

A car was reported gone through at 4:11 p.m. Sunday at 816 Clausen Ave. The car was left muddy, and there was about $5 in change and a CD taken.

Someone reportedly went through a glove compartment of a vehicle at 9:03 p.m. Sunday at 905 Clausen Ave. Nothing was taken.

Two people were cited for shoplifting at 1:39 p.m. Saturday from Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

A wallet was reported stolen at 8:03 a.m. Sunday at 118 1/2 W. Clark St.

 

1 arrested for drunk driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kyle Evan Arndt, 33, for gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a report of a white pickup in the east ditch on Freeborn County Road 30 north of Interstate 90 at 5:31 a.m. Saturday.

 

Illegal dumping reported

Fifteen garbage bags were reported illegally dumped at 11:46 a.m. Friday about a half mile north of 240th Street on 685th Avenue.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Manuel Velez Jr. was arrested for a Department of Corrections warrant after a traffic stop at 2:51 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of West Main Street and South St. Mary Avenue.

 

Windows broken out

A window was reported broken out at 2:11 p.m. Saturday at 119 N. Second Ave.

A window was reported broken at 10:56 p.m. Saturday at 2009 Capital Lane.

 

Juvenile cited for violations

A juvenile was cited for curfew violation and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:11 a.m. Sunday at 500 Frank Ave.
