A favorite activity returns to Kiester Days

KIESTER — Kiester Days will be celebrated Thursday through Sunday this year, and the event’s chairpersons, Doug Trytten and Tammy Aadsen, have outlined a wide range of activities for the annual celebration. The activities list features many favorites and a few new ones. This year, a favorite of many — “Cow Chip Bingo” — returns from a two-year break. The festivities kick off Thursday with a community meal and a free showing of “Peter Pan.”

Friday will feature the return of cow chip bingo, as well as Machinery Hill, a Boy Scouts cookout and a singles cribbage tournament. The night will wrap up with a fireworks display at dusk and a street dance featuring live music by Led Penny Band.

The full day of fun on Saturday starts with a co-ed volleyball tournament, the sixth annual Glen Fure Horseshoe Tournament, a car show and a Kiddie/Pet Parade. The “Big Parade” will kick off the afternoon, followed by a bean bag tournament. There will be a street dance that night with Somethin’ Country performing.
