Mason City Clinic expands Albert Lea services

Clinic now to offer ENT and urology care; more could come
The ENT and urology specialists of Mason City Clinic have opened an office in Albert Lea at Northbridge Mall.
The practice will offer ENT care for allergies, ear infections, hearing loss, sleep disorders, head and neck cancers and sinus problems, and urology care for male sexual dysfunction and infertility, incontinence, vasectomies, bladder issues, kidney stones, male voiding issues/BPH, and kidney and prostate cancer.
“We know there is a great need for specialized medical care in Albert Lea, and we are pleased to be able to serve the community with high quality, comprehensive ENT and urologic care close to home,” said Dr. Kevin Rier, one of the board-certified urologists that will be seeing patients at the Albert Lea location, in a press release.
The release stated the plan is to add other specialties of Mason City Clinic to the Albert Lea office in the future. The office already has contracts with several of the Minnesota insurances and is working on obtaining contracts with others.
The clinic noted the shift of several services from the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea campus to the campus in Austin and to the main Mayo Clinic location in Rochester, which is more than 70 miles away.
“The residents are accustomed to getting specialty care in town and are suddenly faced with long car drives to access their doctors,” Rier said. “We are now bringing convenience, accessibility and high quality ENT and urology care to the residents of Albert Lea.”
ENT physicians seeing patients are Drs. Timothy Dettmer, Henry Diggelmann, Vishram Jalukar, Phil Lee and Trisha Thoma.
Urologists seeing patients are Drs. Kevin Rier, Timothy Mulholland, Christopher Adams and Steven Thoma.
Formed 30 years ago, Mason City Clinic offers specialty medical care with 41 specialist physicians who represent 12 different specialties.
The ENT and urology specialists office is in Northbridge Mall, 2580 Bridge Ave. in Albert Lea.
