The next presentation of the Dorothy Godtland Lecture Series will be “Art of Bible Journaling” by Deb Rohne, according to a press release.
The presentation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Albert Lea Art Center, 101 S. Broadway Ave. in Albert Lea. The event is free and open to the public.
According to a press release, Rohne will introduce participants to Bible art journaling. Also known as “illustrating your faith,” it is a unique way of connecting creativity and God’s word, the release states.
Rohne will answer frequently asked questions about what Bible journaling is and how to get started.
In the introductory meeting, participants will be guided through a Bible art journaling activity and take home tips and resources to continue on their own.
Rohne, of Northwood, has been Bible art journaling for over two years.
Her passion and enthusiasm for the personal worship led her to start a small weekly group at a church in Mason City. She most recently began a group in Northwood in addition to offering introductory workshops.
Rohne has written and illustrated a self-published children’s book in addition to contributing to several other publications.
From caregiver to homeschool teacher, her various life experiences have kept her looking at current trends to connect her creativity to her faith journey, the release states.
