Memorial services for Daniel E. Yotter, 56, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Boorsma will officiate. Friends may greet the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Friday. Daniel passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Daniel Earl Yotter was born Nov. 13, 1962, in Slayton, the son of Ralph and Patricia (Mitchell) Yotter. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1981. Daniel went on to attend the Albert Lea Vo-Tech diesel mechanic program. He worked as a mechanic for Crossroads Trailer.

Daniel married Derrice Erickson, though the couple later divorced.

He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Daniel enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, motorcycling and country music. He volunteered with Sunset Saddle Club. Daniel loved spending time with family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his parents Ralph and Patricia; children Blake Yotter (Jenn Bishop), Skye Yotter (Jarod Martin) and Logan Yotter; brothers David Yotter, Dennis (Julie) Yotter and Doug (Shelly) Yotter; sisters Bonnie Villarreal and Julie (Kevin) Kvenvold; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
