A celebration of life for Patricia Lou Bergland, 72, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea with visitation one prior to the service. The Rev. Sean Forde will officiate.

Patricia died Monday, June 17, 2019, at home surrounded by family after a very short battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 16, 1946, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Vernon and Twyla (Lucas) Laite Sr. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church.

On May 26, 1972, she was united in marriage to Marvin Bergland.

Pat enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching her grandson perform hip hop. She enjoyed fishing, camping and an occasional trip to the casino.

Patricia is survived by her fiance, Ron Miranda; daughter, Dana (Scott) Meaney; grandchildren Jessica Mulholland and Tyler “Biggy Whyte” (Christina) Juveland; great-granddaughters Kylee Jo and Lexee Lynn Juveland; brothers Vernon (Judy) Laite Jr., Thomas Laite and Gary Laite; aunt, Dorothy Adams; uncle, Kenneth Anderson; special friend, Mary Beck; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon Sr. and Twyla Laite; husband, Marvin Bergland; sister-in-law, Nancy Laite; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law through marriage; grandparents; several uncles and aunts; and her special fur baby friend, Trixie.

The family stated, “No matter what time you called, she was always there to help in bad times.”
