Update: Man identified in Faribault County fatality

Update: The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the man who was killed Friday afternoon in a rollover on Minnesota Highway 109 in Walnut Lake Township in Faribault County.
He has been identified as Jason Melvin Niebuhr, 39. Niebuhr died at the scene of the crash.
The name of the 17-year-old driver has not yet been released.

A rollover crash west of Wells reportedly resulted in a fatality Friday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2003 Ford Ranger was west bound at around 1 p.m. Friday on Highway 109 in Walnut Lake Township in Faribault County when the vehicle drove onto the shoulder coming out of a curve. The Ford Ranger then reportedly spun across both lanes, entered the south ditch and rolled. The airbags reportedly deployed in the car.
The driver of the Ranger was a 17-year-old male who was being treated at St. Mary’s in Rochester as of press time, according to the state patrol. He was reportedly wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash resulted in the death of the passenger, a 39-year-old male from Wells.
