The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber will host an informational Main Street meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at The Outlet. Anyone with an interest in Albert Lea Main Street is invited to attend.
According to a press release, Sarina Otaibi with Rethos Main Street Minnesota will be in attendance to present to businesses and the public information about the Main Street Program and the designated Main Street communities in Minnesota. Information will be presented with breakout into groups for questions, input and feedback.
The Main Street program is based on four pillars: economic vitality, organization, design and promotion. Rethos Main Streets aims to help towns and small cities maximize their people and build assets for economic vitality, according to the release.
A thriving downtown has a powerful impact on a community — its people, its finances and its growth, the release stated.
