The next presentation of the Dorothy Godtland Lecture Series will be “The Art of Israel” by Gary Schindler. The presentation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Albert Lea Art Center at 101 S. Broadway. The event is free and open to the public.

According to a press release, Schindler is part of the faculty at Riverland Community College. Since retiring as the dean of students at Riverland, he has been traveling extensively — including a recent trip to Israel.

In his presentation, Schindler will showcase mosaic floors, frescos, paintings and tribute art from around the world located in Israel, the release stated.
