It is such an exciting time to be a Democrat. We have a diverse and thoughtful group of people running for president. We have a strong field of candidates running for Congress.  Our party remains united and committed to fixing the problems facing our country and state. We remain optimistic that we can change the direction our country has been heading for the past couple of years. And we like to have fun, too. 

This coming Thursday the Freeborn County DFL will hold our annual potluck cook off. Please come and join the fun. You could enter our hot dish competition and win a prize, or just sample the delicious food. You could put in a bid on one of our enticing silent auction items. You could listen to speeches by Sen. Dan Sparks and candidates for Congress such as Dan Feehan. Come and drink punch, eat potluck and desserts and visit with friends and neighbors, or come and make new friends. 

The potluck will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Edgewater Bay Pavilion.  A free will donation will be appreciated. Please join us!
