Those living with a chronic condition, such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, arthritis, Parkinson’s and chronic pain will find support and encouragement with others who have similar concerns during an upcoming workshop.
According to a press release, participants will learn practical ways for confronting pain and fatigue, find nutrition and exercise ideas, and explore new methods for communicating with their family and doctor about their health, as well.
Living Well with Chronic Conditions, developed by Stanford University, is an educational program led by trained facilitators, using Stanford’s curriculum.
The program will run from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays from Oct. 7 to Nov. 11 at St. John’s Lutheran Community on Fountain Lake in Albert Lea.
Registration is required. To register, call Senior Resources at 507-377-7433.
The class is open to any adult; caregivers and couples are also welcome.
There is no cost, but donations are encouraged.
