2 arrested for drunken driving

Deputies arrested Daniel Marc Walters, 50, on third-degree driving while intoxicated test refusal, DWI, violating a restricted driver’s license, failure to obey a traffic control device and open container violation after a traffic stop at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday at 1619 W. Main St.

Police arrested Kelly Bell Moore, 35, for driving while intoxicated after receiving a report of a vehicle that had possibly crashed into a dumpster at 1:23 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Frank Avenue.

Thefts reported

A 1999 Toyota Camry was reported stolen at 2:34 p.m. Friday from 321 1/2 Sibley Ave.

Police arrested Jennifer Marie Borg, 26, for misdemeanor theft at 3:08 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

A shoplifter was reported at 12:13 p.m. Saturday at 106 W. Clark St.

Police arrested Sean Pierre Nadjari Smith, 19, for shoplifting at 3:20 p.m. Sunday at 1550 Blake Ave.

A sweater and vehicle keys were reported stolen at 3:01 p.m. Saturday at 323 E. Clark St.

A car battery was reported stolen at 3:44 p.m. Saturday at 426 Adams Ave.

A theft was reported at 4:55 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

A iPhone 11 was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday. The theft had reportedly taken place Monday afternoon while the vehicle was parked at 2308 Hendrickson Road.

 

Man arrested for domestic assault

Deputies arrested Joshua Gene Meyer, 39, for domestic assault Saturday evening at 30370 780th Ave., Clarks Grove.

 

5 arrested on warrants

Deputies arrested Brian Robert Manuel on a local warrant at 8:12 a.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Erik John Seath, 39, turned himself in on a local warrant at 4:07 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway.

Joel Michael Johnson, 24, turned himself in on warrant at 1:21 a.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Brittni Jane Sackett, 31, on an Olmsted County warrant at 3:07 p.m. Friday at 1005 Ulstad Ave.

Police arrested Abdirahmn Mohamed Sufi, 26, on an arrest and detain hold and a Goodhue County warrant at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday at 404 Fountain St.

 

Hit-and-run crashes reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 4:08 p.m. Friday at 1406 Sheridan St.

A mailbox was reported hit at 8:33 a.m. Saturday at 2522 W. Richway Drive.

 

4 cited for underage drinking

Police cited four juveniles for underage drinking after receiving a report of a juvenile laying in a yard at 7:43 p.m. Saturday at 821 S. Broadway.

 

Counterfeit bill turned in

A counterfeit $100 bill was reported stolen at 9:03 p.m. Saturday at 2221 E. Main St. The incident reportedly took place Oct. 13.

 

Damage reported

A window was reported broken in a vehicle at 3:14 a.m. Saturday at 105 North Star Road in Alden.

Damage was reported to a vehicle at 3:31 p.m. Sunday at 118 Morningside Road.

 

Woman cited for marijuana

Police cited Alecia Justine Avery, 25, for possessing over 1.4 grams of marijuana after a traffic stop at 1:17 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Ruble Avenue and Albert Lea Street.

 

Man arrested for obstruction

Deputies arrested Francisco Jose Guerrero at 4:35 a.m. Saturday for obstructing without force and a small amount of marijuana at 718 E. Main St.

 

2 taken to hospital after crash

Mello Saw, 67, and Tok Lwee Htoo, 64, both of Albert Lea, were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for possible injuries Friday afternoon after a crash at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Sheridan Street.

According to police, Saw was driving a 2013 Hyundai Accent southbound on Bridge Avenue when a 2007 Buick Lucerne, driven by Nyaruon Jordan Manpign, 19, of Albert Lea pulled into the path of the car. Manpign was reportedly driving west on Sheridan Street and stopped for the stop sign at Bridge Avenue but failed to yield for the southbound car.

Manpign was cited for failure to yield the right of way and driving after revocation.
