ST. CLOUD — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison planned to host a listening session about white nationalism in St. Cloud.
Tuesday night’s discussion at St. Cloud State University was set to be part of a set of statewide sessions Ellison is hosting on hate crimes.
Former white nationalist Christian Picciolini was to be part of the discussion. Picciolini’s exit from the skinhead movement is chronicled in his memoir “White American Youth.” He now leads a global extremism prevention network called Free Radicals Project, which has helped over 300 people leave hate groups.
State Rep. Dan Wolgamott, a St. Cloud Democrat, and Christian and Muslim faith leaders were also supposed to be part of the talk.
