Q: What grade are you in?

A: 12th grade.

Q: What town do you live in, and which school do you attend?

A: Albert Lea, Albert Lea High School.

Q: Who is your immediate family?

A: Mom, Kim Erickson; dad, Chris Jensen; sister, Alyssa Jensen.

Q:  Which sports do you play?

A: Cross country and track.

Q:  What is your favorite part of playing your sport?

A: I enjoy everything about cross country: the people, the workouts, the weight room and spaghetti suppers.

Q: What has playing that sport taught you?

A: Cross country has taught me how to be a hard worker, how to overcome hardships, be committed, practice makes perfect, leadership and perseverance.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: My favorite memory through sports is getting second place out of 17 teams at a big meet in Winona.

Q: How did you get started in your sport?

A: My cousin got me to come out and join. I didn’t know what it was.

Q: What sports did your family members play?

A: My mom played volleyball, basketball and golf.

My dad played golf and cross country.

Q: What are your sports
related achievements?

A: In track I was the three-time hardest worker and three-time captain. I’ve been on varsity since ninth grade for  track and cross country.

Q: What are your sports-related goals?

A: I want to get All-Conference in the Big Nine and state at the section meet.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: Mo Farah. He is a very good runner. He also has my favorite quote, “Don’t dream of winning, train for it.”

He wins almost every race he is in because he doesn’t want to lose.

Q: What are your college plans? Major?

A: I am talking to DII and DIII colleges, and I plan on running cross country and track at the collegiate level. I am talking with coaches from Gustavus, Concordia, St. Paul, St. Mary’s, St. John’s Bethel. Not sure on major.

Q: What is your favorite school subject?

A: A tie between AP government and pre-calculus.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher?

A: Jim Haney.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Running is my favorite hobby, but also lifting, family activities,  boating, most sports, rock climbing, paintball and most things outdoors.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: I would like to own a running store with a running club and gym.

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: “Stranger Things.”

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: I love pancakes.
