Roger Elmer Erickson, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Elsie; his infant son, James; his beloved wife, Peggy, and his oldest son, Roger Edward. 

He is survived by his sisters Jean Schimmele, Dee Strand and Carol Benson; his son, David; his grandchildren Brooke, Katie, Alex, Brian and Brandon; and his great-grandchildren Nora, Lily, Violet, Owen and Remington. 

Roger was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was a quiet man of deep strength and compassion; he loved his family, served his country, showed kindness to all and malice toward none. 

A memorial gathering will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Huber Funeral Home’s Excelsior Chapel, 520 Second St. in Excelsior. A luncheon will follow.
