The Freeborn County Genealogical Society turned 40 years old this year. The organization was started April 7, 1979. The group meets at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of the month — except in January, February and March when the group meets at 10 a.m — at the Freeborn County Historical Museum. A short business meeting is followed by a program relating to an aspect of genealogical research. Anyone interested in learning how they can research their family history is welcome to attend.
