Bands, orchestras to perform

On Monday the Albert Lea High School band and orchestra departments will present a winter concert. The performance will be at 7 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School Auditorium.
The concert will feature both the Tiger band and orchestra, symphonic band, symphony orchestra and concert band. Selections will include festive holiday music, seasonal pieces and other works. As a finale, the concert band and symphony orchestra will play together on “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” arranged by Michael Brown. The chamber orchestra will perform in the commons before the concert, and the Caroliers will perform between orchestra and band.
Tickets are available at the door, and are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Children preschool and under as well as Albert Lea Area Schools students and staff with ID are free. There is also a $35 family pass available for purchase.
The pass is good for all band, choir and orchestra concerts for the entire school year.
