Two people were injured Monday after a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle in Faribault County.
Max Olsen Boran, 20, of Brainerd, and his passenger, who was not identified, were taken by Frost Ambulance to United Hospital District, according to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
A press release stated Boran was driving west on 70th Street, near the intersection of Faribault County Road 13 in Frost, and was stopped or slowed down waiting for a vehicle to turn in front of him, when his vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle, driven by Heather Julienne Smidt, 45, of Buffalo Center, Iowa.
The Sheriff’s Office stated this caused Boran’s vehicle to lose control, and it rolled into the ditch.
The press release indicated distracted driving may have been a factor in the crash.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Frost Fire Department and Frost Ambulance Service.
