The name Liam was the most popular baby name chosen by parents who delivered in 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin, according to a press release.

Seven names tied for the most popular girl’s name: Olivia, Camila, Isabella, Aria, Reagan, Everly and Joanna.

Other popular names were Harper, Octavia, Klara, Luna, Peyton, Emily and Taylor for girls and Daniel, Theodore, Everett, Benjamin, Alexander, William and Gabriel for boys.

Liam and Charlotte were the top names nationally, according to babynames.com.

The press release stated of the 691 babies delivered in Albert Lea and Austin in 2019, 287 were born in Albert Lea, and 404 were born in Austin. Five more boys were delivered than girls, and there were five sets of twins.

Albert Lea’s Baby Place closed at the end of October.

The release stated April and July were the busiest months to deliver.
