Rosemary L. Oldfather, 83, of Kiester died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, in Flagstaff, Arizona. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Kiester. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Rosemary’s family prefers memorials to Our Saviors Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with services. Rosemary was born Feb. 1, 1936, the daughter of Frank and Marvel (Lindeman) Schneider. She attended Kiester High School, graduating in 1953, and continued her education at Commercial College in Mankato. Rosemary was united in marriage to Warren Oldfather on Nov. 4, 1956, at Mansfield Lutheran Church. She worked at Wilson & Co. in Albert Lea.

Rosemary was a very caring, loving and social person, and very active in her church. She owned the This N That Hobbies store for over 20 years in Kiester. Rosemary enjoyed spending her winters in Tucson, Arizona, and spending time with the friends made in Arizona. She loved her children and grandchildren and always enjoyed attending their sporting events. Rosemary loved being outside, tending her plants and having her coffee hour. She loved to read and, after losing her eyesight, she listened to hundreds of audiobooks. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Kiester.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Warren, of Kiester; children Mike Oldfather (Lisa Huston) of Austin, Diane (Brian) Thomas of Flagstaff, Deb (Dan) Westby of Marshall, Cheryl Sandt of Albert Lea and Lee Schumann of Kiester; grandchildren Kenneth and Daniel Sandt, Anthony, Makenzie and TJ Oldfather, Casey (Jon Paul) Eisenring, Austin and Joshua Thomas, and Rachel (Jordan) Miller; great-grandson, Maddox Miller; sister, Maxine (Ronald) Thompson, of Albert Lea; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Diane Oldfather; and in-laws Charles and Martha Oldfather.
