Letter: The choice is clear for 1st District

Published 9:10 pm Thursday, January 2, 2020

I’m ready for true representation for all Congressional District 1 constituents. Dan Feehan is running against Jim Hagedorn for this seat in Congress. Dan can make a positive difference if we elect him.

Feehan is a true Minnesotan who doesn’t live here part time in one of his multiple houses across the country. He has served in the military, has a wife, kids and strong family support in Minnesota. His children go to school here, and Dan has been a teacher with many years of service.

Dan doesn’t need to ride the coattails of his dad’s name recognition, have a spouse who runs the statewide division of a party, accept Koch brothers and other special interest money, rely on gerrymandering or have the largest, most obnoxious signs to build confidence. He’s already qualified on his own and cares about all Minnesotans in CD-1. The guy has class.

It would be great to have someone who represents his constituents and actually meets with all of them, not just those who are hand-picked. Hagedorn uses out-dated statistics as talking points, which he isn’t able to cite, while Dan Feehan knows better. He won’t be a talking head for only part of his constituency. The choice is very clear, CD-1, we need Dan Feehan. Please keep his name in mind to vote for him in November 2020.
