BLOOMINGTON — Minnesota prosecutors say no charges will be filed in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on a light rail in the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said Friday that after reviewing the case, prosecutors determined they would not be able to disprove a self-defense claim.

Authorities said a 67-year-old man pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed 45-year-old Anthony Demetrius early Thursday after an argument escalated into a physical fight. The stabbing happened on the Blue Line light rail, near the Mall of America.
