Sons of Norway meeting planned

The Nortonna Lodge 1-638 of the Sons of Norway will meet on Monday, according to a press release. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. for a cost of $8 at the Owatonna Elks Lodge, 126 E. Vine St..
The January program will be “A Saga About a Town Called Norway,” the story of eight Norwegian immigrant families leaving Rock County, Wisconsin, in 1856. They traveled to what eventually would be called New Richland Township in Steele County. Attendees will learn about their early years in a virtual wilderness, revealing their challenges, difficulties and perseverance.
