5 cases of counterfeit bills reported

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 9:47 a.m. Monday at McDonald’s, 2808 Bridge Ave.

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 10:18 a.m. Monday at Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St.

Counterfeit bills were reported at 10:41 a.m. Monday at the Salvation Army thrift store, 416 Bridge Ave.

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 6:23 p.m. Saturday at Love’s truck stop, 2751 E. Main St.

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 7:58 p.m. Saturday at Kwik Trip, 1210 E. Main St.

 

4 arrested for DWI

Police arrested Sherri Lynn Adams, 58, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 2:07 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of South First Avenue and West Main Street.

Deputies arrested Dawn Lyn Sorenson-Medina, 47, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 7:25 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Freeborn County Road 26 and 185th Street.

Deputies arrested Lance Gordon Schultz, 26, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 2:07 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and East Fountain Street. Wesley Dean Thostenson, 29, was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Klel Klet, 50, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of South Broadway and East Fourth Street.

 

Break-ins reported

A burglary was reported at 8:05 a.m. Monday at 901 W. Main St.

Deputies received a report at 8:48 p.m. Friday of a house that was broken into at 30454 770th Ave. in  Clarks Grove. Items were missing.

 

4 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Ricardo Garcia Jr. 25, on a local warrant at 10:03 a.m. Monday at 701 S. Broadway.

Deputies arrested Linda Ann Kuiper, 62, on a local warrant at 4:57 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway.

Deputies arrested Salim Hassian Counts, 45, on local warrants in court at 8:16 a.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Zachary Allen Malay, 22, on a warrant at 3:03 p.m. Friday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

 

Hit-and-run crashes reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:33 p.m. Monday while a vehicle was parked near the intersection of South Broadway and East Pearl Street. It occurred sometime during the day.

Police received a report at 9:45 a.m. Saturday of a hit-and-run crash that occurred while a vehicle was parked at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

Thefts reported

A dining room table and chairs were reported stolen at 11:32 a.m. Friday at 11724 870th Ave. in Glenville. A camper was also reportedly burnt at the address.

Police cited Juanita Ellena Talamantes, 33, for theft at 3:37 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Police cited Sabrina Maria Angel Truesdell, 33, for theft at 2:01 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Police cited Heather Jo Wiltse, 40, for theft at 3:27 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

1 arrested for domestic assault

Police arrested Eulia Renett Hulett, 45, for domestic assault at 10:53 p.m. Saturday at 415 1/2 W. Main St.

 

Scam reported

Deputies received a report of a person who had been scammed out of over $4,000 at 9:07 a.m. Saturday.

 

Tractor fire reported

A tractor fire was reported at 1:38 p.m. Sunday at 13687 795th Ave. in Glenville.
