Alden student recognized on dean’s list

Erik Theusch of Alden was one of 623 students named on the Minnesota State Community and Technical College dean’s list for the fall semester. To be included on the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4 point scale.

 

Local student graduates from University of Iowa

Dominique Budach of Lake Mills was one of more than 1,800 University of Iowa students to celebrate earning their degree from during commencement ceremonies in December. Budach received a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree.

 

RCTC honors area students

Rochester Community and Technical College released its honor rolls for the fall 2019 semester. Martha Berryman of Myrtle was among 275 students named on the president’s list. To qualify for the president’s list, students must complete 12 credits or more with a 4.0 grade point average.

Honored on the dean’s list was Brodie Fink of Albert Lea. Fink was among over 600 RCTC students on the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.99.

 

Iowa State releases fall dean’s list

Several area students were honored on the fall 2019 dean’s list for Iowa State University. Among the 10,066 recognized for outstanding academic achievement were Albert Lea students Anna Anderson, who is enrolled as a senior and studying linguistics; Emma Loch, who is a sophomore and studying pre-business; and Kayla Overland, who is a senior studying food science.

Also honored were Julia Geratus of Alden, who is a senior studying community and regional planning; Adam Legred of Bricelyn, who is a senior studying agricultural business; Emily Orban of Emmons, who is a senior studying supply chain management; Ryan Hansen of Freeborn, who is a junior studying agricultural studies; Halee Miller of Glenville, who is a freshman studying animal science; and Wells students Dustin Schultz, who is a senior studying software engineering, and Kendra Schultz, who is a junior studying animal science.

Lake Mills students recognized were Rylee Bowman, who is enrolled as a junior and studying political science; Morgan Fritz, who is enrolled as a sophomore and studying political science; Alessandra Groe, who is a junior and studying software engineering; Spencer L. Jensen, who is a senior and studying animal ecology; and Sydney Larson, who is enrolled as a senior and studying family and consumer science education and studies.

Northwood students named to the ISU dean’s list were Brooke Hoeppner, who is enrolled as a junior studying biology; Molly Hunchis, who is enrolled as a freshman and studying event management; Mary Irons, who is enrolled as a senior and studying animal science; and Julia Quisley, who is enrolled as a sophomore and studying agricultural business.

Students named to the dean’s list must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.

 

Area students recognized on dean’s list

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire released its dean’s list for fall 2019. Among the 2,566 students honored for outstanding academic performance were Skyler Hanson of Albert Lea, Bailey Sandon of Clarks Grove; Rachagleglenglel Wallin of Glenville; Anna Schueth of Hartland; Taylor Hosey of Lake Mills, and Emma Barnd of Wells.

 

College of St. Scholastica releases dean’s list

Area students Laura Cornwell of Albert Lea and Leslie Willaby of Glenville were named to College of St. Scholastica’s dean’s list for fall 2019. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve a 3.75 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale.
