Winona State announces dean’s list

Winona State University has announced the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Area students recognized were Anna Bordewick, Brett Brownrigg, Kelsey Enger, Andrea Garcia Torres, Jennifer Hanson, Madison Jacobson, Elizabeth Kunkel-Erickson, Amanda Montes, Justice Morua, Samantha Nielsen, Brooke Paulson, Eve Peterson, ReAnn Peterson, Liana Schallock, Jasmine Schumacher, Dylan Studier, Summer Swensrud and Kacy Waltman, all of Albert Lea; Bryce Banton of Alden; Amanda Jacobson of Bricelyn; Lydia Jacobusse and Colleen Peterson of Clarks Grove; Caitlin Goette and Alexis Shaw of Ellendale; Bret Belshan, Kayla Gerber and Katelyn Nelson of Glenville; Paige Darrington of New Richland; and Carly Weber of Wells.  To be honored on the dean’s list, students must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Area student named to president’s list

Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona announced the fall 2019 president’s list. Local student Jacob Miller of Clarks Grove was recognized among 282 students named to the list. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits at MSC Southeast during an academic term and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Area student recognized

The University of Minnesota Crookston has released the fall semester 2019 dean’s list. Among those named to the list were Corrie Powell of Clarks Grove, who is majoring in health management. To qualify for a place on the dean’s list, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 GPA.

Kensett student honored

Amy Rollene of Kensett earned dean’s list recognition for the fall 2019 term at Buena Vista University Mason City. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students achieving a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

Area students graduate

The College of St. Scholastica has released its list of conferred graduates for fall 2019. Area graduates include Laura Cornwell of Albert Lea, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in social work; and Leslie Willaby of Glenville, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in social work. Fall 2019 commencement exercises were Dec. 14 on campus.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced the names of graduates following the fall 2019 semester. Area student Jacob Wallin of Alden, who majored in mechanical engineering, was amongst those who graduated. The UW-Platteville 203rd commencement ceremonies were held Dec. 14 in Williams Fieldhouse.

Samuel Dean Thompson of Clarks Grove graduated from North Dakota State University following the fall 2019 semester. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in management. NDSU awarded 1,034 degrees to students.

A.L student honored

Emma Grossman of Albert Lea was honored on the dean’s list at Drake University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the fall 2019 semester.

Students named to dean’s list

Area students named to the dean’s list for fall 2019 semester at Bethel University were Elizabeth Nelson and Grace Nelson, both of New Richland. The dean’s list honors students who receive an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Greta Jacobson of Ellendale is among the undergraduate students who have been named to the Millikin University dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. The honor is awarded to students who attempt 12 graded credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher during fall or spring semester.
