Cory Greff, 1971-2020

Cory M. Greff, 48, of Easton died Tuesday, Fe. 25, 2020, at his home after a courageous battle with appendix cancer. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells with a Rosary at the conclusion of the service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Havel officiating. Cory Greff

Cory was born June 4, 1971, the son of Leo and Patricia (Thomas) Greff in Bismark, North Dakota. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1988 and the University of Moorhead. Cory was a service manager at Case IH in Alden.

He enjoyed spending time at the campground, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. Cory liked to head to the casino and play blackjack, where he was recently dealt a winning hand. He was a diehard Vikings fan, cheering them on with a Coors Light in his hand. Cory loved being around family and friends. He will be remembered by his quote, “I work hard, I play hard!”

Cory is survived by his daughters Tristen Greff of Winona and Amelia and Abigail Greff, both of Blue Earth; parents Leo and Patricia Greff of Fergus Falls; siblings Ryan Greff (Heather Brostrom) of Moorhead, Mary (Steve) Haefner of Las Vegas and Sara Irmen (Chris Haugen) of Jamestown, North Dakota; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Kathryn Thomas and Mike Greff; uncle, Paul Greff; and aunt, Sharon Greff.
