Man injured when three semis collide on I-35

A Columbia Heights man was injured Tuesday morning when three semis collided on Interstate 35 north of the junction with Interstate 90.
Issak Adan Ibrahim, 38, was flown by helicopter to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Ibrahim was driving a 2015 Freightliner tractor north on I-35 at the time of the crash. A 2020 International tractor, driven by James Arthur Gunnell, 53, of Florida, and a 2020 Mack tractor, driven by Dana Lee Horst, 59, of Montezuma, Iowa, were also northbound on the interstate when the three collided shortly before 10 a.m.
Snow and ice were on the road at the time of the crash.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Clarks Grove Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Albert Lea Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
