We, the members of Southern Gateway Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunter’s Association, would like to thank the following businesses for allowing us to place our Hides for Habitat boxes on their property again during the last hunting season: Tom’s Taxidermy in Clarks Grove, Reese Brothers Garage in Geneva, Hope Creamery at its Ellendale property, Morgan’s Meats in New Richland, Nielson’s Conoco in Hartland, Craig’s Taxidermy in Freeborn, Lakeside Auto in Alden, Hart Brothers Weaponry on Highway 69 South, Mr. Tint, Karl’s Car Quest, the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea, Short Stop Station in Glenville, Nick’s Meats &Grocery in Hayward, and a special thank you to Conger Meats in Conger, which donated all the hides from the deer the business processed again this year. The proceeds from the hides help send kids to Forkhorn Camps all over Minnesota, plant food plots for wildlife around the county, buy and support land in our area for hunting and other forms of recreation.
Finally, we want to thank all the hunters who donated their hides and Century Leather (formerly Uber’s Tannery) in Owatonna for buying our hides.
