Freeborn County 4-H had three youth and one state ambassador attended the Southeast Regional Leadership Retreat called Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) Feb. 22 and 23 at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro.
BLU is for youth in sixth through 12th grades. BLU is a youth leadership workshop that brings together youth from across the region to engage in activities and leadership lessons.
Activities were planned by the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors and a regional planning team.
This year’s BLU focuses on “Unmasking Your Inner Leader.”
They discussed what makes a leader, strengths, and leadership styles, including followership and introvert/extrovert leadership.
