Confirmed cases across state increase by 91

Confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state increased by 91 Saturday, reaching a total of 1,427 cases, the Minnesota Department of Health said.
Of those cases, 793 have recovered and no longer need to be isolated, and 145 are hospitalized, including 69 in intensive care. Sixty-four people have died, an increase in seven people from the day before.
According to the Freeborn County Public Health Department, Freeborn County saw an increase in one lab-confirmed case, bringing the total to 22 in the county.
The case is a person under the age of 10, who is recovering at home.

The Public Health Department stated two of Freeborn County’s cases have recovered thus far.
Of all the cases across the state, 528 have been in people 20 to 44 years old, and 474 have been 45 to 64 years old.
Mower County saw an increase in one case, pushing its total to 23. Numbers stayed consistent in Faribault County at four cases, Steele County at nine cases and Waseca County at three cases.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 35,404 tests have been completed, including 9,292 through the Department of Health’s public health lab, and 26,112 from external laboratories.
