Jeanette Mary Lorenz, 85, of Albert Lea, formerly of Wells, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. Mass will be with Jeanette’s immediate family at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Follow Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home on Facebook to watch the service live at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. A celebration of life will be at a later date for all of Jeanette’s family and friends at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Jeanette was born Feb. 11, 1935, the daughter of Paul and Lucie (Sonnek) Stenzel in Wells. Jeanette was united in marriage to Philip E. Lorenz on Nov. 13, 1957, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, where she was a lifelong member. To this union three daughters were born. Jeanette loved music, dancing and listening to old-time music and polkas. She enjoyed watching Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves games. She appreciated her family history (she and her sister, Adeline, married brothers, and their brother, Robert, married their husband’s sister, Evelyn (Lorenz). She loved raising her girls and she especially loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children Patti (husband, Randy) Bangert of Alden, Joanie (husband, Pat) Stenzel of Wells and Deb (husband, Darrell) Riemer of Conger; nine grandchildren, Shanna (Adam) Drescher of Conger, Josh (Elizabeth) Bangert of St. Peter, Ryan Bangert of New Richland, Alyssa (John) Krause of Zumbrota, Erin (Marshall) Tatge of Wells, Kendall (Seth) Olson of Wells, Hillary (Tom) Miller of Amory, Wisconsin, Nathan Stenzel (fiancee, Karissa Kienholz) of Owatonna and Lorna Riemer (Ethan Johnson) of Baltic, South Dakota; four great-grandchildren,

Brooklyn and Aubrey Drescher, Oliver Tatge and Britta Miller; brother, Lawrence (wife, Mary) Stenzel of Decatur, Texas; sisters-in-law Wilma Bull of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Angie Lorenz of Aberdeen, South Dakota; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip, in 2004; brothers Florian Stenzel and Robert (Evelyn) Stenzel; and sister, Adeline (James) Lorenz.
