The President Trump haters have struck again. According to their views, our president has never done anything right and is always self-serving. No one is always right, and no one is always wrong. This is a value that those who are teaching our children should understand. Even my old wind-up clock that I forgot to wind shows the correct time twice per day.

On Thursday, April 9, Ted Hinnenkamp stated the following, “The president showed no leadership in this pandemic.” The Obama administration had briefed the incoming Trump Administration on the 69-page handbook on fighting a pandemic. The fact remains that the Obama Administration had eight years. This time should have been enough to have on hand, and in place, the needed supplies for future use. Needless to say, they did not.

President Trump had to fight the Democrats for over one year in the courts just to close our borders. This was a first step in fighting a pandemic. On April 7, under My Point of View, Jennifer Vogt-Erickson also stated, “The Trump Administration had failed to have a federal stockpile of personal protective equipment and ventilators on hand.” Another quotation comes to mind, “President Trump is incapable of leading a coordinated national response.” Jennifer incorrectly stated that “the governors and federal agencies were told to bid against each other.” This procedure would make for higher than necessary costs. President Trump said being a smart businessman used a better approach to the problem.

In these times of forced layoffs, each company or factory will offer the service they know best. No one size fits all, and everyone involved will offer the service best suited to their ability. This keeps the cost down, and product value better as well as keeping their employees’ jobs in place.

As to the date of this writing, the Trump haters have not voiced their opinions on what, or how long, this COVID-19 shutdown should be handled. When President Trump lays out his plans, the Trump haters will be very vocal about how he should have proceeded. How about we give our President Trump a little respect? After all, he has closed more deals than any of us ever will.
