John Forman’s latest editorial was written before President Trump spoke on March 31. Trump said the coronavirus is vicious and not the flu. Comparing it to the flu is comparing apples to oranges. The flu kills thousands a year. If the shutdown was not in place, millions would die from COVID-19.
John Forman said the Democrats put the brakes on the stimulus package. Trump knew months ago that this pandemic was coming. He called it a Democratic hoax. He could have taken decisive action much sooner. We would be a lot better off than we are now.
Blaming the news media and the Democrats for more people getting depression is ridiculous. The coronavirus is responsible for this. Put the blame where it belongs.
We are at war with this virus. We all have to put aside our political differences and work together to end this pandemic.
