Conspiracy theories are in full bloom! Watch this — watch that. Expose this — expose that. Demonize this — demonize that. Analyze this — analyze that. Wear a mask or you’ll die — wear a mask and you’ll die. Stay in and you’ll die — go out and you’ll die. On and on, the story goes; who is right nobody knows.
One thing is for sure. Our past, present and future are in the hands of the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, the son of God. If you are a true follower of him, there is never a reason to fear. Full assurance of faith, rest, peace and unspeakable joy are what he offers to all who are tired and heavy laden. Jesus said to his followers, in Matthew 11:28, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest.” There is no condemnation in him. I want to encourage you today to pull away from the news, YouTube, all of the data, and have a little talk with Jesus. Take some quality time to lean in and listen intently to what he will speak to your soul. There is no voice more important than the voice of the good shepherd (Psalms 23 and John 10).
One question to continually ask ourselves is, how much uninterrupted time are we really spending with Jesus? I want you to know that I love you, and I am here for you. If you would like prayer, or just someone to talk to, please give me a call at 507-473-0376.
