2 arrested for DWI and other reports

Deputies arrested Kari Lynn Hall, 30, for driving while intoxicated at 10:59 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Freeborn County Road 35 and 740th Avenue. 

Police arrested Levi Colton West, 24, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, fifth-degree possession of cocaine and possession of 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop at 1:17 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of East Main Street and South Newton Avenue. 

 

1 arrested for meth possession

Deputies arrested Madison Drew Kersey, 22, for gross misdemeanor possession of meth, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and speed after a traffic stop at 2:53 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Main Street and Happy Trails Lane. 

 

1 injured in crash

Michael Patrick Doyle, 53, of Albert Lea, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Saturday afternoon after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Levison Street. 

According to police, Doyle was driving a 2019 Chevy Silverado southbound on Garfield at 3:01 p.m., when a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Robert Leal, 45, of Albert Lea turned in front of the vehicle and the vehicles collided. 

 

Pedestrian injured in crash

Vanessa Seath, 39, of Albert Lea was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for a possible injury Sunday night after she was reportedly struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Front Street and Washington Avenue. 

Celeste Guevara, 24, of Clarks Grove was reportedly stopped on Washington Avenue in a 2016 Nissan Sentra facing south when she began to turn east and didn’t see Seath, a pedestrian, who was crossing Front Street from south to north. 

No citations were given. 

 

Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at 7:13 a.m. Saturday at 309 E. Main St., Clarks Grove. 

 

Mailboxes damaged

Deputies received a report at 10:59 p.m. Saturday of a vehicle that damaged three mail boxes on Second Avenue Northwest in Glenville. 

 

Thefts reported

A shoplifter was reported at 3:02 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. 

A Red Wing shoe sign was reported stolen off of a building at 4:41 p.m. Friday at 310 Main Court. The theft reportedly occurred sometime between June 21 and the date of the report. 

 

Break-ins reported

Police received a report at 10:31 a.m. of a house that was reported broken into at 515 Triangle Drive and numerous items were missing. 

Police received a report at 8:29 p.m. Sunday of a break-in at 301 E. College St. 

 

Vehicle rummaged through

Police received a report at 6:41 a.m. Saturday of a man who reportedly urinated on a house and then went through a vehicle at 320 E. William St. 

 

Hit-and-run crashes reported 

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 10:03 p.m. Saturday at 410 W. William St.
