A 30-year-old Alden man was injured Friday night after he reportedly crashed his motorcycle southwest of Freeborn. 

Spencer Adam Edwards was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea before he was airlifted to Rochester, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. 

The Sheriff’s Office stated Edwards was riding his motorcycle and stood up trying to adjust his pants when he went off the roadway and into the ditch near 27998 640th Ave.  

It is unknown whether he was wearing a helmet. 

The Sheriff’s Office stated charges for driving while intoxicated are pending, awaiting the results of a blood test.
