Daily COVID-19 update: 9 new cases reported in Freeborn County

Freeborn County Public Health reported nine new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county on Monday, bringing the county’s total cumulative cases to 185.
Of the new cases, three are in their 20s, two are in their 30s, two in their 40s and two in their 50s.
One person remains hospitalized, and 110 people are now out of isolation, the department states.
The Minnesota Department of Health stated Mower County reported another 20 new lab-confirmed cases on Monday, bringing its total to 524.
Faribault and Steele counties each had one new case, increasing their total cases to 24 and 173, respectively. Waseca County had no new cases and remains at 30 cases.
Statewide, there were 338 newly reported cases, bringing the states total cumulative cases to 28,224. Of that number, 23,657 no longer need to be in isolation.
There were 11 newly reported deaths from Anoka, Crow Wing, Hennepin and Ramsey counties. Six of the new deaths were patients from long-term care or assisted living facilities, and the state’s death total now is 1,197. Of that number, 955 resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
The department stated 452 people remain hospitalized, including 198 in intensive care.
Hennepin County has the highest number of cases with 9,480 cases and 681 deaths.
Other counties with high numbers include Ramsey County with 3,553 cases and 158 deaths, Stearns County with 2,071 cases and 16 deaths, and Anoka County with 1,616 cases and 84 deaths.
