Freeborn County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic reached 200 on Thursday, according to the latest update from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Mower County’s total passed 600 cases, with 30 new cases reported on Thursday.

The Freeborn County Public Health Department stated the new cases included one person under 10, one in their 30s and one in their 40s. \

There is no one hospitalized from Freeborn County, and 136 people are out of isolation.

No new cases were reported in Faribault, Steele and Waseca counties.

Statewide, 453 new cases were reported, increasing the total cumulative cases statewide to 29,316. Of those cases, 24,870 are no longer in isolation.

Thirteen new deaths were reported from Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Morrison, Ramsey and Scott counties. The Minnesota Department of Health stated 10 of the newly reported deaths were of people in long-term care or assisted living facilities. The total death count now is 1,249, of which 994 were of people in long-term or assisted living facilities.

The state department stated 411 people are hospitalized as of today, including 196 in intensive care.
