Dwayne Klukow, 82, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN on June 21, 2020.

He was a longtime resident of Albert Lea, MN and was the son of Donald and Hazel Klukow, both deceased. He is survived by brother Harlan Klukow and his wife Beverly of Independence, MO, brother Lonnie Klukow of Albert Lea, sister Lorraine (Lori) Ashleson of Albert Lea and her son Robbie Ashleson and wife Kim of Cottage Grove, MN, and sister Debra Klukow and her daughter Christina Barrow of Austin, Texas. He is predeceased by his sister Marlys Fox of Leawood, Kansas. Left to mourn are nieces and nephews Tracy Fox Cooper and Brian of Lenexa, KS; Julie Fox of Raymore, MO; Steven and Mary Fox of Lenexa, KS; Ricky Ashleson of Northwood,Iowa; and Brian Klukow of Isabella, MO. Predeceased are Randy Ashleson and Jeffrey Klukow.

Dwayne was also known to his friends and family as “Sonny.” As a young man he worked at the Union Center in Albert Lea and enjoyed riding his bike to work and later worked at Cedar Valley Services, Inc. He enjoyed socializing at Cedar House where he made coffee and at the Senior Center. He enjoyed camping and fishing and travels to Camp Winnebago and the Wisconsin Dells. Dwayne has enjoyed living at the Elm Home, and the family wishes to thank the staff for their courtesy and kindness to him.
