House damaged by fire and other reports

An Albert Lea house was damaged Tuesday night after a reported attic fire that started from a malfunctioning light.
No injuries were reported.
According to a press release, the Albert Lea Fire Department was dispatched at 10:19 p.m. to the house, at 803 E. Richway Drive, for the report of a light on fire in the home.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the attic space and found that a small light above the sink that was in the ceiling had started on fire and the attic space was continuing to burn, according to a press release.
Fire crews worked to extinguish the fire and worked for two hours to extinguish hot spots in the attic insulation.
Damage was estimated at $30,000.
Tabs reported stolen
Police received a report at 8:12 a.m. Tuesday of tabs that had been stolen off of a vehicle at 604 Columbus Ave. about a month prior.
Poles downed from storm
Poles were reported down from the Tuesday evening storm on East Richway Drive and on Blake Avenue.
