An 18-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Friday night after a crash at the intersection of Maurice Avenue and Fountain Street.

Colby Pathammavong was transported for suspected minor injuries, police stated.

Police said Pathammavong was driving a 2016 Chevy Sonic south on Maurice Avenue, approaching the intersection with Fountain Street, when he slowed but didn’t stop and was hit broadside by Larry Blair, 81, who was driving a 2019 Honda CRV east on Fountain Street.

Blair was not injured.
