Brenda Dale Juveland, 72, of Owatonna, died Monday, June 29, 2020 at her home.

She was born April 23, 1948 in Albert Lea the daughter of Benjamin and Dorothy (Nelson) Scott. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1966. She continued her education at Mankato State and business school in Minneapolis. On June 29, 1968, she married Duane Juveland at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The couple lived in Coon Rapids before moving to Owatonna in 1979.

Brenda worked at Dubre Designs, Truth, Gopher Sports and Transitional Housing where she was currently employed.

She enjoyed playing scrabble, sewing, traveling, cardinals, flowers, and gardening. She always remembered birthdays. She was a people person and enjoyed spending time with most anyone. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren, rarely ever missing one of their events and loved her dog, Jinger. She also enjoyed the monthly gatherings with the “Chicks of 66” (her classmates).

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Brownewell of Owatonna and Jennifer (Christopher) Traeger of Osceola, IA; grandsons, Benjamin and Zachary Brownewell of Owatonna; brother, Craig (Nancee) Scott of Florence, Arizona and brothers in law and sisters in law, Paula Juveland of Albert Lea, Glen (LeAnn) Juveland of Albert Lea, Tom (Nancy) Haney of Ramsey and Del (Sue) Johnson of Albert Lea and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Juveland; parents Benjamin and Dorothy; son in law, Timothy Brownewell and brother in law, Darryl Juveland.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Thursday, July 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Stauffer officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.
